IIT-JEE, the India Institute of Technology-Jodhpur, has begun work on the design and conceptualisation of a website for the government-run medical research and development centre (MRDC).
The site was recently announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had said the project was one of the priorities of the government, according to the official website of the IIT Jee.
The project, which will cost around Rs 8 crore, is part of a programme of development to help improve the health of Indian citizens and enhance the quality of life in the country.
The IITJee website is currently online.
The Government of India has invested over Rs 1.6 lakh crore in the MRDC.
The website will be a resource for the stakeholders of the MRDDC, including medical experts and other stakeholders, according the official IIT project plan.
The aim of the project is to build a website which will be able to provide the public with information on the MRDs research activities.
The site will also be able of providing more detailed information on MRDs activities and will be used by stakeholders in the future to enhance their expertise and the quality and quantity of their work, the official said.
